Maria earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from CUNY Queens College. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, Maria worked as a paramedic, where she developed a strong foundation in emergency care, critical thinking, and patient advocacy; skills that continue to shape her approach as a clinician.
Maria’s passion for physical therapy was sparked by her personal experiences: surviving a serious car accident and growing up with a physically disabled sister gave her a firsthand understanding of the power of rehabilitation and compassionate care. These formative experiences inspired her to enter the field with a commitment to helping others regain independence and improve quality of life.
Her clinical training includes a diverse range of rotations, including pediatric rehabilitation, orthopedic care, and an international affiliation in Italy, which enriched her perspective and deepened her appreciation for cross-cultural approaches to health care. Maria prides herself on her well-rounded background and ability to connect with patients from all walks of life.
Outside of the clinic, Maria enjoys staying active, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Her curiosity, empathy, and love for human connection drive her to provide holistic, individualized care to every patient she treats.
We pride ourselves on providing the most personalized physical therapy experience—setting a new standard of care that combines best-in-class clinical care with a patient-first mindset.
