Maddy Pelesh, PT, DPT

Madeline earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduating with an honors award for outstanding academic ability. Prior to pursuing a career in physical therapy, Madeline attended Temple University where she completed her undergraduate studies receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre and Acting. 

Madeline has clinical experience working with diverse populations in several outpatient orthopedic settings, as well as in outpatient pediatric physical therapy. She has a particular interest in treating dancers and performers. Combining her unique perspective as a performer with her expertise as a physical therapist, she strives to address their specific functional needs and support injury rehabilitation and prevention. Madeline brought this passion to life during her final clinical affiliation at Spear’s Times Square Center for the Performing Arts, where she was able to seamlessly integrate her background in dance and theatre with her clinical training to provide specialized, holistic care.

Her lifelong dedication to movement began with extensive training in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary dance and participation in various sports as a child. This dedication continued through her academic and professional career as a musical theatre performer. Her deep understanding of the demands of physical performance gives her a unique insight into the toll that injury and pain can take—not only on the body, but on the ability to do what you love and carry out everyday activities. This experience fuels her passion for helping others regain function and return to their craft or daily life with confidence.

In her free time, Madeline can be found reading, exercising or taking a dance class, walking or lounging in the park, trying new restaurants or hanging out at home watching whatever the hottest series is at the moment.
