Lucy graduated from Northeastern University this past May where she completed an accelerated program to obtain her BS in rehabilitation sciences and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in the bustling city of Boston and loved connecting with the local community through volunteering and working as a rehab aide. While there, she also served as co-president of Northeastern’s Chinese Language Table and studied abroad in Sevilla where her language skills were put to the test.
On her co-ops, Lucy gained valuable physical therapy experience at an orthopedic specialty hospital and large public city hospital. She continued to broaden her skillset with rotations in the outpatient and acute rehab settings – her last here being at Spear where she enjoyed her time so much she decided she’d have to come back to work as a physical therapist. Through these opportunities she gained clinical experience treating patients dealing with sports injuries, post-op recovery, neurological conditions, and various other diagnoses. Having been a patient herself in high school, Lucy understands the crucial role a physical therapist plays in a patient’s journey to recovery and looks forward to helping her patients regain their normal function to live happily and healthily.
Outside of the clinic, you can find you Lucy hanging out with her friends and family, staying active with running and workout classes, and catching up on her latest Netlfix show. Lucy is so excited to start this next chapter as a physical therapist at Spear!
