Kyle Houghtaling earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College – Long Island. Prior to receiving his Doctorate, Kyle obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Aquatic Therapy from West Virginia University, where he graduated with Cum Laude honors. Preceding his time at WVU, Kyle was a Division III collegiate athlete, playing quarterback for Ferrum College’s football team.
During his time in Touro’s DPT program, Kyle amassed experience treating a wide variety of conditions for patients of all ages. He completed his clinical affiliations in outpatient orthopedic, sport, sub-acute, and home-health settings. Kyle prioritizes creating a positive experience for all his patients by actively listening to their stories and encouraging patient-therapist collaboration when creating their plan of care. He believes the patient is the hero of their own story and enjoys guiding everyone on their journey to achieve their health and rehabilitative goals.
Kyle is passionate about sports performance and rehabilitation. He has become certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist and utilizes his unique knowledge base when treating sports and orthopedic injuries. In addition, Kyle incorporates targeted manual therapy, corrective exercise, and progressive task-specific training into his treatment sessions.
Outside of the clinic, Kyle enjoys playing football, weight training, swimming, hiking, and watching his neighbor’s dogs.
