Kristin attended the University of Miami where she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to graduate school, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Washington in Seattle. During her time there, she was accepted into UW’s Athletic Training Internship, spending two years gaining experience with Division I football, with additional hours treating athletes in gymnastics, softball, men’s basketball, and track.
During her DPT curriculum, Kristin completed four unique clinical experiences to prepare her to work with a variety of patients. Her inpatient rehabilitation rotation was heavily focused on neurological conditions and frequently consisted of treatments related to stroke, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and multiple sclerosis. She also gained significant knowledge in orthopedic post-operative care. During her inpatient/acute pediatrics experience, she treated orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac conditions in patients ranging from days old to 18 years.
Most of her clinical experience, however, was focused in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation and performance. She treated community athletes participating in marathons, Ironman triathlons, CrossFit, F45, and more. Additionally, she worked with athletes from various sports at Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University, as well as ballet dancers at the HARID Conservatory. Throughout her three years of PT school, she also volunteered as a PT student at her university with Division I baseball, women’s soccer, volleyball, and football.
In her free time, Kristin maintains an active lifestyle by weightlifting, running, and hiking. She also enjoys exploring the city with friends, going to the beach, traveling, and watching college sports.
