Katie is an occupational therapist with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from NYU. Her time at NYU sparked a deep passion for client-centered care, functional recovery, and collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams to help people return to the activities that matter most to them.
Before pursuing a career in occupational therapy, Katie came from a marketing background but was drawn to more meaningful, people-focused work. During her clinical training, she completed fieldwork in both an acute care hospital and a mental health outpatient clinic. In the hospital setting, she worked with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions—providing ADL retraining, early mobilization, and discharge planning. At the outpatient clinic, she supported individuals managing substance use and cognitive challenges through both group and individual interventions focused on emotional regulation, executive functioning, and life skills development.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys walking her dog, Maya, and finds swimming to be both a source of exercise and relaxation. She’s especially interested in helping clients navigate life transitions and return to meaningful roles and routines. She brings empathy, creativity, and a strong collaborative spirit to every setting she works in and is excited to continue growing as a therapist.
