Karina earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University – Brooklyn. Before pursuing her doctorate, Karina graduated from Stony Brook University, earning a Bachelor’s in Health Science with a concentration in Disability Studies and Human Development.
During her studies at Long Island University, Karina gained valuable, hands-on experience through her clinical rotations. She has worked with patients presenting with various musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, including acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, vestibular conditions, Parkinson’s Disease, post-stroke, and post-operative joint replacements. These experiences have equipped her with a solid foundation in evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to help individuals reach their goals. Karina is passionate about fostering positive relationships, promoting health and wellness, and creating individualized care plans. She is eager to continue learning and growing in the field to better serve her patients.
Outside the clinic, Karina enjoys taking dance classes, going to the gym, exploring new hiking trails, playing video games, and hanging out with her dog, Jax.
