Jason Kang, Director of Spear’s Pediatrics / Adolescents program, received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Scranton. Jason participated in various collegiate intramural sports and was a member of the Men’s Club Volleyball team. Also at Scranton, he participated in a number of charity events, including a service trip to Arizona working with children with neurological disorders. He gained valuable experience in orthopedics and neurological rehabilitation through his rotations.

Jason decided to become a physical therapist because he wanted to provide a more direct, hands-on approach to treatment for patients of all ages. Being an athlete all of his life he has a great understanding of the various injuries that can occur throughout the lifespan. Jason also has a special interest in the Pediatric population where he aims to create a fun and focused environment that is engaging for children during their rehabilitation. Lastly, Jason is a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified expert, which allows him to perform golf swing analysis on his patients.

During his free time, Jason continues to stay active with competitive basketball. He enjoys trying new things, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and his two dogs Zoey and Sky.
