Jan received his BS in Health Sciences from Stony Brook University with a concentration in Disabilities Studies. He completed his Doctoral in Physical Therapy from Touro University as a recipient of the Maimonides Award, which is awarded to one student from each class for demonstrating the highest professional ideals of a practitioner of the health sciences. While at Touro, Jan completed his clinical rotations garnering many skills and treating patients throughout the lifespan with different issues.
Jan enjoys treating patients with sports-related injuries as well as working with pediatric cases. He spent his third clinical rotation at Rockland BOCES treating children with many cognitive and orthopedic issues and gained experience in treating in a therapy pool. Jan also completed his final clinical rotation at Pursue PT where he treated many athletes and general outpatient cases, gaining experience in many manual therapy techniques making him comfortable with treating patients with all sorts of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Jan values individualized care for each of his patients, making specific plans to help patients achieve their goals and realize their potential.
While away from the clinic, Jan enjoys quality time with his friends and family. He is an avid foodie looking for new places to try. He was a 3-season athlete in high school all 4 years as a member of the cross-country team, track team, and basketball team. Jan’s interest in PT began as he experienced a grade 3 ankle sprain during a basketball game, sidelining him for over a month and earned first-hand experience in sports medicine. Jan currently enjoys staying active with strength training, running, hiking, and playing pick-up basketball with friends.
