Jaime holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience from SUNY Albany, along with a double minor in Sociology and Spanish. Her academic journey provided me with a strong foundation in understanding the mind-body connection and human behavior, while her studies in sociology and Spanish further enriched her ability to engage with diverse populations. She then pursued a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Yeshiva University, where I gained extensive knowledge in the areas of rehabilitation, mental health, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and developmental sciences. Her graduate education equipped me with the clinical expertise needed to assess, treat, and support individuals in improving their daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Professionally, She built a diverse and enriching career across multiple healthcare settings. She gained invaluable experience in patient care services and customer service, which has sharpened her ability to communicate and empathize with clients and their families. She also developed a robust clinical background through her work in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and pediatric occupational therapy facilities. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of patients, from those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries to children with developmental disabilities. Jaime honed my skills in creating personalized therapy plans, using evidence-based practices, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for my patients.
In addition to her professional work, Jaime has a wide array of personal and professional interests that complement her role as an occupational therapist. She is passionate about playing and watching sports such as hockey, football, soccer, and lacrosse, which keeps me active and connected with others. She also enjoys engaging in gym exercises and attending exercise classes, as she recognizes the importance of physical health in overall well-being. Mindfulness practices such as yoga, meditation, and art allow me to recharge and maintain emotional balance. She believes in integrating social and emotional well-being into her therapy sessions, fostering a holistic approach to healing that supports her patients’ mental and physical health. These interests inspire her to stay active, grounded, and motivated, which she aims to share with those she serves.
