Jacqueline graduated from Misericordia University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2024. Throughout her time at Misericordia, Jacqueline was an active member of the community, ensuring to help people in need, and advocating for people with disabilities. Jacqueline was a board member and student physical therapist at Misericordia University Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic. She also volunteered at a support group for parents with children with Down Syndrome, which discussed raising awareness for individuals with disabilities, and advocating for therapy services in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Jacqueline also competed with Misericordia Women’s D3 soccer program for 2 years.
During her clinical experiences, Jacqueline evaluated and treated various conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings. Throughout her experiences, she was drawn to orthopedic, sports and pediatric populations. She has taken elective courses on therapeutic exercise, Sports PT Systems and advanced pediatrics and was a teaching assistant for cardiopulmonary PT for 1 year. Jacqueline also did her doctoral research on Effective Injury Prevention Programs in Youth Athletes.
Jacqueline’s initial interest in physical therapy started at 14-years old when injuring her back participating in competitive soccer. Due to her injury, Jacqueline required PT for over a year before being cleared to return to soccer. Without physical therapy, Jacqueline would have not been able to return to the competitive level and been able to participate at the collegiate level. With this experience, Jacqueline witnessed the importance of physical rehabilitation and injury prevention and became passionate to pursue physical therapy to help young athletes like herself as well as others return to activities that they love to do. After her injury, she began working as a Physical Therapy Aide for 5 years throughout high school and college, volunteered working with the PT department at local children’s hospitals and worked as a 1-on-1 aide with an adult with Down Syndrome for 6 years. With these experiences, she knew that Physical Therapy was the perfect career for her to help others.
Jacqueline grew up in Mahopac, NY and is passionate about running and weight training. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, listening to music, finding local coffee shops and spending time with friends, family and her dogs.
