Isabella earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Sacred Heart’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program uses a problem-based learning model, which challenged Isabella to approach each patient case with critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. This experience strengthened her ability to analyze complex problems, adapt treatment strategies and work as part of an interdisciplinary team, skills she carries into her clinical practice.
Throughout her training, Isabella has completed diverse clinical rotations across multiple practice settings, including outpatient orthopedics, acute care in the hospital setting, and home-based outpatient services. In outpatient orthopedics, she gained experience with musculoskeletal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation and refined her ability to create individualized exercise programs. Her acute care hospital rotation deepened her knowledge of medically complex patients where she learned to prioritize safety, assess mobility and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Through her home-based outpatient experience, Isabella developed strong skills in adapting treatment to patients unique living spaces, promoting independence, and addressing functional goals that directly improve quality of life. Across these settings, she has become recognized for her empathy and dedication to building strong therapeutic relationships with her patients. Creating an environment where patients feel supported, encouraged and motivated to reach their goals.
Isabella has a particular interest in the mind body connection, especially the role of mental health and physical recovery. Having played soccer for most of her life, she developed an early fascination with the human body and its capabilities, which inspired her interest in physical therapy. She is passionate about supporting her patients not only in their physical rehabilitation but also in building confidence and resilience throughout the healing process. Outside of the clinic, Isabella enjoys traveling, cooking, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends. She especially loves going on walks with her dog, Willow. Isabella is excited to bring her compassion, enthusiasm and clinical expertise to the Spear team and to support patients in achieving their highest potential.
