Gabriella earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. She completed Columbia’s Advanced Orthopedic track and pursued specialty electives in Performing Arts Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Craniofacial Pain of Cervicogenic Origin. She was also a member of Columbia’s Dance Research Team, where she engaged in research investigating the lack of physical therapy services in collegiate dance programs. Her research has been presented at conferences including the APTA Combined Sections Meeting and the Performing Arts Medicine Association International Symposium. Her diverse clinical experience includes treating post-operative patients, orthopedic and sports injuries, and those in sub-acute rehabilitation settings. Before earning her DPT, Gabriella graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a major in Dance, concentrating in Body, Science, and Motion, and Biology, along with minors in Chemistry and Arts Management.
Her own journey in physical therapy began as a young dancer. Gabriella’s love of dance took her from a local studio to competitions across the East Coast and pre-professional intensives in New York City. With her extensive dance training, she became a regular patient at her local PT clinic for treatment of injuries and chronic back pain. The time she spent with her PT was invaluable and inspired her to pursue a career in the field alongside dancing professionally. She wouldn’t be where she is without her original inspiration, the late Dr. Robert Gorinski. Gabriella is passionate about delivering inclusive, high-quality care, and is especially committed to helping performers and active individuals return to the stage, sport, or everyday life stronger than before.
Outside of the clinic, Gabriella can be found singing and dancing somewhere in the city! Gabriella is a New York City based performer and is very active in the musical theater scene. Additionally, she enjoys taking voice lessons, weight lifting, and exploring new coffee shops around NYC!
