Fiona earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Marist College after earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. During her undergraduate years, Fiona participated in research involving exercise interventions to treat individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Fiona then took this knowledge and based her doctoral project on current research involving the usage and implementation of Physical Therapy Clinical Practice Guidelines into the treatment and assessment of people with Parkinson’s Disease.
During her clinical rotations, Fiona experienced working with a wide array of patients in multiple settings including geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, neurologic, and post-op care. This experience has further contributed to her knowledge in manual techniques including but not limited to cupping, myofascial release, and Kinesio Taping. Fiona’s current clinic practice includes a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
During her free time, Fiona loves spending time outdoors, going out on walks, hiking, and traveling. She also enjoys painting, writing, and spending time with her friends.
