Ezgi received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Master’s degree in Clinical Health Studies from Ithaca College. While completing her studies, Ezgi studied dance as a minor and was involved in dance and theatre projects as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She taught ballet and contemporary classes to a wide variety of ages and created individual-based conditioning programs for preventing injury and maximizing function for her students.
During her clinical rotations, Ezgi had the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population across multiple settings. Her initial experience was in an outpatient setting where she treated various orthopedic diagnoses from whiplash injuries to postoperative conditions. She began incorporating the principles of Pilates into her practice after studying the correlation between Pilates-based therapy and optimizing the quality of care for patients. Ezgi also spent time in inpatient rehabilitation, where she saw patients with neurological conditions such as spinal cord injuries and brain trauma, which led to her gaining a deeper appreciation for physical therapy. Ezgi is currently studying Pelvic floor therapy to further her skills to assist a patient population she feels very passionate about.
Outside the clinic, Ezgi enjoys exploring the endless food options and live music shows the city has to offer. She is always looking for new ways to stay active, from finding dancers and artists to collaborate with, or learning how to rock climb.
