Graduating from Seton Hall University’s Doctorate in Physical Therapy Program in 2021 at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, Emmit has spent his entire career focused on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Emmit also earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seton Hall University in 2019.
During his clinical rotations over the COVID-19 pandemic, Emmit worked at the Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in the inpatient/hospital setting where he treated predominantly post-operative patients. There he gained appreciation for the surgical process and the rigors of early rehabilitation for this population group. He then interned with Pursue Physical Therapy and Performance Training in Verona, New Jersey where he got advanced training in rehabilitation of orthopedics and sports with a focus on specialized manual therapy treatment. He received his CNMT (Certified Neuromuskuloskeletal Manual Therapist) in 2023 from the Institute of Orthopedic Sports Manual Therapy which has helped him provide advanced manual therapy techniques including spinal mobilizations, spinal and extremity manipulations, neurodynamic treatments, along with many other techniques in order to best treat his patients.
For six months from 2023 into 2024, Emmit stepped away from his career with his then fiancé to travel the world, exploring South America, South East Asia, Oceania, and Europe. In his spare time, his passions are traveling, golf, and spending time with his wife and family. As he progresses through his career, Emmit is focused on earning continued certifications and education in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.
