Emily received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and graduated with honors from Columbia University. While in PT school, she completed advanced coursework in orthopedics, pelvic health, foot and ankle rehabilitation, yoga, vestibular rehabilitation, and sports rehabilitation. She is originally from California, and received her B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
Emily gained clinical experience in a variety of outpatient orthopedic clinics. She has worked with patients with many varying conditions including sports-related injuries, post-surgical needs, pelvic floor dysfunction, hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome, and Parkinson’s disease.
Emily became a PT because has always been an athlete: she grew up competing in gymnastics, then track and field. She currently spends most of her free time playing ultimate (frisbee), for which she has competed in both national and international competition. When she has a free weekend, she also enjoys hiking and backpacking.
