Emily is a Physical Therapist at Spear’s Murray Hill location. Emily graduated from NYU where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. Prior to her time at NYU, Emily completed her undergraduate studies at Skidmore College, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Physiological Science. During this time Emily also competed on the varsity swim team, earning the honor of team captain during her senior year.
Emily is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, with a strong passion for orthopedics and pediatrics. Emily’s experiences in orthopedic clinics and with the New York Department of Education have provided her with the skills necessary to treat patients in both orthopedics and pediatrics, while developing a true understanding of her clients’ wants and needs. She truly values one-on-one patient time and takes a client-oriented approach when creating a treatment plan. Emily’s ultimate goal is to assist patients in achieving results that will allow them to return to full participation in the activities they love.
When she’s not treating patients, Emily likes to stay active through running, weight training, and swimming. Throughout the year she competes in a multitude of running races, triathlons and open water swimming events with her father and brother. Highlights include a top 10 finish at the 2 mile Escape from Alcatraz swim in San Francisco, a top 3 age group finish at the 5 mile Coral Reef swim in St. Croix, and multiple top finishes at the Save the Bay swim in Narragansett, RI. In the rare times that she is not working, training or competing, Emily loves exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and sitting down with a good book.
