Elana earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Seton Hall University and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from CUNY Hunter. During her time at Seton Hall, Elana served as a board member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association. Elana currently serves as a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists.
During clinical rotations, Elana worked in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient neurorehabilitation units, and subacute rehabilitation. One of her facilities included the outpatient neurorehabilitation unit at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, the No. 2 Rehabilitation Hospital in the Nation. Elena worked with patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, CVA, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury and Functional Neurological Disorder.
Outside of the clinic, Elana enjoys traveling with her family, hiking and eating cheese. Since having her daughter, Elana has traveled to a different state every month of her daughter’s life.
