Dzenana earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Mercy University. Before graduate school, Dzenana also received her Bachelor of Science from Mercy University in Health Science/OT. She was part of a leadership team at Westchester Institute of Human Development, where she focused on advocating for the inclusion of individuals with neurodevelopment-related disabilities.

During Dzenana’s studies at Mercy University, she has learned valuable hands-on experience throughout her clinical rotations. Dzenana has a strong background in treating children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.  During her hand therapy clinical rotation, she worked with different upper extremity diagnoses that include but are not limited to kienbock’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, distal humerus ORIF removal, and lateral epicondylitis. Dzenana also has experience in pediatric acute care, where she worked with children who ranged from 2 to 20 years old in the ICU and the general hospital. During this time, she treated patients that are post-operative with upper and lower extremity fractures, cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and suboccipital craniectomy. Dzenana is passionate about helping individuals regain function by improving their skills to promote independence and return to meaningful activities.  

Outside the clinic, Dzenana enjoys visiting local coffee shops, traveling, attending sports games, and trying new places.
