Alyssa is a physical therapist at Spear’s Williamsburg location. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Lynchburg with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology graduating Cum Laude with High Honors.
Alyssa has played sports throughout her life, primarily soccer and swimming. This led to her collegiate soccer career, winning three conference championships with the Lynchburg Women’s Soccer Team. She continued to play recreational sports throughout her time in PT school in Southwestern Florida.
Throughout her graduate school career, Alyssa had the opportunity to work with various patient populations in outpatient orthopedics and acute care settings. She has experience working with geriatric patients, young adult athletes returning to sport, as well as active individuals in the everyday population. In the acute care setting she has worked with neurologic patients, post-Covid, and progressive neuromuscular diseases.
Outside of the clinic, Alyssa enjoys rollerblading, cooking, gardening, and reading. She also enjoys traveling abroad and visiting her extended family in Greece.
