Alana earned both her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Disability Studies & Human Development from Stony Brook University. As an occupational therapist, she serves as a helping hand in your healing, recovery, and even rediscovery of activities that are meaningful to you.
She has worked with various populations and conditions, ranging from orthopedic to balance, cognition, and mental health. All of these experiences have established her foundation for practice: improving and/or maintaining holistic wellness throughout life and all its stages.
Alana is passionate about advocating for OT and for greater representation – in the profession & in new, exciting spaces, as well as working within and for the community to help foster greater well-being no matter the age.
Outside of the clinic, she loves finding and learning about new places, getting little treats for/with friends and family, attending live events (especially basketball games), solving escape rooms & reading/buying books (these are two different activities!).
