Diastasis Recti occurs when the abdominal muscles separate from each other and is the most common among pregnant people as the fetus gets larger. Other causes could be:
- Frequent or rapid weight fluctuations
 
- Genetics
 
- Poor training technique or overloading the core while weightlifting
 
Common Signs & Symptoms
- Visible separation of the abdominal muscles
 
- Feeling of weakness in the abdominal muscles
 
- Low back, pelvic, or hip pain
