Mike received both his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Stony Brook University. Growing up Mike participated in martial arts, long distance running, and weightlifting. From these hobbies Mike dealt with a number of orthopedic injuries that led him to multiple bouts of physical therapy. The recurrent nature of his injuries inspired Mike to pursue a career as a physical therapist in order to help others receive quality care and recover from their ailments faster than he did.
Prior to joining Spear, Mike’s experience as a therapist has consisted of working primarily in the sports-based outpatient orthopedic setting. In this environment Mike has helped active New Yorkers recover from a wide range of musculoskeletal issues and return back to the activities and hobbies that they most enjoy.
When Mike is not treating his patients, he is most likely in the gym training towards a new personal best, or partaking in other recreational fitness activities such as climbing, hiking, snowboarding, or surfing. When he is not working up a sweat, Mike also enjoys dabbling in art, music, and travel!
We pride ourselves on providing the most personalized physical therapy experience—setting a new standard of care that combines best-in-class clinical care with a patient-first mindset.
