Michelle earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree and Bachelor of Science Health Sciences degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. During her time in undergrad, Michelle volunteered with senior citizens at a nursing home near her campus where she discovered her interest in Occupational Therapy after seeing the profound impact it has on people’s lives.
During her graduate studies, Michelle developed a passion for outpatient orthopedics and found great meaning and fulfillment in helping people to use their hands again after injuries. Michelle has experience in treating various orthopedic and neurological conditions including fractures, repetitive strain injuries, arthritis, and post-surgical conditions. Michelle’s goal as an Occupational Therapist is to enable all her patients to participate in their most meaningful activities and live life to the fullest. Michelle also plans to become a Certified Hand Therapist so she can use her clinical skills to help her patients get back to doing what they love.
Michelle was born and raised on Long Island and currently enjoys exploring different parts of the city on foot and indulging in all the diverse restaurants and museums the city has to offer. In her free time, Michelle enjoys doing various crafts such as embroidery and pottery, playing ping pong with friends, and watching Jeopardy.
