Disha has earned her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Physical therapy from India with the specialization in Neurological sciences. She is highly skilled and experienced in treating patients with various neurological conditions like acute and chronic stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain Injury. Disha has also received her master’s degree in Exercise Sciences and during that time, she worked as a Research Assistant, where she has helped geriatric individuals and patients with Cerebral Palsy by using the latest advancements in the field like Alter G, CDP and virtual reality.
She has treated an extremely diverse population which includes amputation, post operative cases, sports related injuries, lymphedema and rare neurological cases. Disha is known for her passionate behavior and charming personality where she motivates the patients, builds deep connections with them and helps in achieving their goals. She is a strong believer in evidence-based practice where she utilizes the recent research in her clinical decision making, therapeutic exercises and in closely monitoring the progress of the patients. She is very creative in making the exercises unique which helps the patients in returning to their prior level of function. She has also developed some devices which assists the individuals with disability and also have keen interest in doing so in future.
Outside of work, Disha enjoys working out in the gym, skating, cycling and listening to music. She is very enthusiastic and dedicated in her profession and constantly strives to learn more and help in bringing a positive impact on people. Being a professor in the past, she loves to teach and her long term goal is to become an academician in future.
