Helly earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Gujarat University, India. Where while studying, she also actively participated in pro bono clinics, contributing to the development of treatment protocols, applying manual therapeutic techniques and providing ergonomic advice to patients. She later completed her master’s degree in Exercise Science at Long Island university, Brooklyn, NY. Additionally, Helly holds certification of a Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Helly has delivered care across various outpatient clinics, acquiring expertise in the treatment of orthopedic, neuromuscular, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation and cardiovascular rehabilitation. Her professional background extends to an acute care facility where she gained exposure to patients undergoing procedures such as total hip replacement (THR), total knee replacement (TKR), ACL repair, and those with spine injuries. Furthermore, Helly possesses experience from outpatient clinics, effectively managing cases involving back injuries like sciatica, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis as well as addressing rotator cuff injuries. One of Helly’s goals is inspire the patients to show what they can do themselves to improve their health.
In her spare time, Helly likes to enjoy the outdoors by going on hikes, sightseeing, exploring new cities and national parks. She also likes to express her inner creativeness by spending her free time painting. Helly is able to effectively communicate in multiple languages (English, Gujarati, Hindi).
