Physical Therapist - PT, DPT

Emma Cole, PT, DPT

Upper East Side - 3rd Ave

Emma earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mercer University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University. While at Mercer, she participated in community service developing exercise classes for older adults, children with neurological and physical impairments, and individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. While at Emory, she swam on a club team and extended her love for swimming to teaching children with neurological impairments how to swim.

Emma’s interest in PT sparked at a young age after receiving physical therapy for her painful and stiff joints from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Throughout her treatment, she realized that her main goal in life is to empower people to realize that movement and exercise do not have to be painful. During PT school, she gained clinical experience in treating outpatient orthopedic patients, pediatrics, and older adults in the home setting. She has professional experience in treating children with developmental delay, torticollis, and orthopedic issues. She strives to provide the best evidence based practice to each patient she meets to ensure that each visit they are progressing towards their goals.

Emma is originally from Louisiana, so food, dancing, and family are greatly important to her. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in upstate New York, exploring the city, embroidery, traveling, watching LSU and Saints football, and snuggling with her cat, Clementine.
