Dr. Julianne Smith graduated with her BS in Health Science Studies and a concentration in Nutrition from Quinnipiac University, followed by her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her studies at QU she gained experience in the outpatient orthopedic, acute care, and sports orthopedic settings. She also worked closely with the Keefe Community Center of Hamden to provide the underserved population with free health education resources.
Previously, Julianne served as the head physical therapist for Long Island University’s Post campus, where she worked as a part of the sports medicine team and provided physical therapy to D1 athletes from a variety of sports teams.
Julianne was a competitive gymnast for 16 years which led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. When not working, you can find her at the gym, reading a book, traveling, playing pickleball, or trying (but failing) to improve her golf game.
