Melissa earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Essex County College, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at Rutgers University. Melissa became interested in physical therapy during her first job as a rehab technician at an outpatient clinic. Throughout the years, she has continued to work as a tech at various outpatient clinics and gained more insight into the physical therapy field.
During her clinical affiliation, Melissa gained experience in orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, geriatrics, and post-operative rehabilitation. She believes that physical therapy is an excellent tool in treating and preventing injuries and can be used as a lifetime preventative care measure.
Melissa enjoys being active through strength training, bike riding, hiking, and other outdoor activities. She is also passionate about the arts and spends some of her free time painting, exploring museums, and discovering new music. Though from Jersey City, NJ, Melissa looks forward to spending more time in the city and exploring more of what NYC has to offer.
