Vivek received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College, a Master’s degree in Communication from Ioana College, and his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
During clinical rotations, Vivek was exposed to outpatient orthopedics, inpatient post-operative care, inpatient care, and subacute care. After completing his Doctorate program, Vivek treated in an outpatient setting treating a wide range of cases including athletes, non-operative, post-operative, and neurological conditions. He believes in the ‘tool-box approach’ of using a combination of different methods while emphasizing corrective exercises. Vivek believes that having fun and enjoying yourself while rehabilitating is part of the healing process as well. He gets a lot of satisfaction hearing from his patients about improvements that they are making as well as goals that they have reached.
During his free time, Vivek enjoys cooking, playing golf, softball, and spending time with his son. Additionally, Vivek grew up playing a wide range of sports such as basketball, baseball, competitive swimming for the Flushing Flyers, soccer, and was on UConn’s ski team.
