Lloyd Pierre earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware, as well as a Master of Science degree in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science. While completing his studies, Lloyd was allowed to gain clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, neurological and older adult, pediatric, amputee and inpatient rehabilitation clinical settings. Lloyd’s experiences allowed him to gain a greater appreciation for rehabilitation and patient care.
Prior to his time at Delaware, Lloyd attended Howard University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Health Performance and Leisure, with a concentration in Sports Medicine. Lloyd was also a member and captain of the Howard University Division 1 Men’s Soccer team. He graduated Summa Cum Laude as he was valedictorian of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Being born and raised in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Lloyd has a very diverse background and enjoys cultural experiences. He has an interest in furthering the state of healthcare in the Caribbean and within underserved populations in the US. In his spare time, Lloyd enjoys playing soccer, traveling, hiking, and fishing.
