Matthew graduated from Ithaca College, where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies with a Coaching minor. During his studies, Matthew gained valuable experience treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease using aquatic Physical Therapy while at Ithaca.
During his clinical rotations, Matthew immersed himself in outpatient orthopedic settings, gaining exposure to a wide variety of patient populations, conditions, and treatment ideologies. He utilizes a holistic and collaborative approach to each patient’s care, seeking to promote wellness for life-long health while helping patients return to the activities they love. Matthew draws on his experiences coaching athletics to maximize patient performance by optimizing synergistic movement patterns.
Matthew’s interest in Physical Therapy was solidified after suffering a traumatic ankle injury, where he experienced the impact of having a supportive therapist invested in his goals. Physical Therapy has allowed Matthew to return to his passion for running as he is currently prepping to race his first marathon. Outside of the clinic, Matthew enjoys traveling, cooking, watching football on Sundays, and hiking throughout his native Hudson Valley as well as the Adirondacks.
