Alicia received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Stony Brook University. During her studies she played Division I soccer at Rutgers University and Stony Brook University. She was also an active member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association where she was the social chair of the club.
Alicia gained diverse clinical experience during her master’s degree training, including working in an outpatient hand clinic where she treated patients with a variety of neurologic and orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity. She also worked in a school setting with children with cerebral palsy, supporting their independence and participation in meaningful daily activities. Throughout her experiences, Alicia found a specialized interest in orthopedics and treating upper extremity conditions. Alicia is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with her patients, and she believes that trust and collaboration are essential to recovery. As a former Division I athlete, she especially values the importance of movement and activity, and she takes pride in helping her patients return to the activities that matter most to them.
In her free time, Alicia enjoys staying active through running, cycling, hiking, and playing soccer. She also loves spending time with friends and family, and often takes her dog for walks on the beach. Looking ahead, Alicia hopes to travel more internationally and join a coed soccer league to continue combining her passion for activity with community and connection.
