What is Spear Sports Club and how is it different?
Spear Sports Club is our dedicated sports performance center designed to bridge the gap between injury rehabilitation and elite athletic performance. Unlike traditional clinics, Sports Club is purpose-built to take athletes from injury recovery all the way back to peak performance.  What Sets Sports Club Apart
  • Objective Return-to-Play (RTP) Testing: Data-driven assessments remove guesswork and determine when an athlete is truly ready to return safely.
  • Performance Training Integration: We go beyond “feeling better,” restoring the physical capacity required for your sport through advanced movement, cutting, and field-sport mechanics.
  • Pro-Level Environment: A 1,200 sq. ft. turf space, squat racks, sleds, and neurocognitive tools replicate real game-day demands.
Who is Spear Sports Club for?
Our Sports Club is for athletes who take their performance seriously and want an objective, high-level approach to recovery and training. We work with high school, collegiate, professional, and elite amateur field-sport athletes, as well as individuals who identify as athletes, including:
  • Athletes returning from or preventing injury
  • Field-sport athletes needing advanced training in sprinting, cutting, jumping, and explosiveness
  • Youth athletes with overuse injuries
  • Female athletes with RED-S or the Female Athlete Triad
  • Runners pre- and post-marathon
  • Pre- and post-partum athletes
  • Athletes recovering from concussions
If your goal is to return stronger, faster, and more confident than before your injury, Sports Club is for you.
Why is objective testing important?
Objective testing is essential for determining true readiness to return to sport. It removes uncertainty, identifies deficits, and builds confidence while reducing re-injury risk.  Our testing tools include:
  • VALD ForceDecks: Gold standard for assessing power, symmetry, and landing mechanics
  • Strength Dynamometry: Precise muscle strength measurement
  • Video Running Analysis: Evaluation of efficiency and mechanics
  • Field-Sport Analysis: Cutting, change-of-direction, and high-speed running assessment
It’s not just about how you feel—it’s about clear data that gives athletes, parents, coaches, and medical teams confidence in return-to-play decisions.
What is an ACL Return-to-Sport Assessment?
Our comprehensive ACL Return-to-Sport Assessment removes uncertainty following ACL surgery and typically includes:
  • Sports PT consultation and needs analysis
  • Strength dynamometry testing
  • VALD ForceDeck testing
  • Sport-specific performance drills
  • Balance and neurocognitive testing
  • Subjective readiness assessment
After testing, you’ll receive a detailed review of your results, comparisons to research-based benchmarks, and clear return-to-sport recommendations. A scorecard is provided to share with your surgeon and medical team.
What are the insurance & payment options for Spear’s Sports Club?
We accept most major insurance plans for physical therapy and injury rehabilitation. However, many high-performance services are cash-based, as they fall outside traditional insurance coverage, including:
  • Performance training
  • Formal return-to-sport assessments
  • Running analysis
This allows us to deliver elite-level testing without insurance limitations. All costs are discussed upfront.
