Gabriela Guerron, PT, DPT, MDNC

Gabriela received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from The College of Staten Island (CSI) and attended the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College where she received her Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Food Science. Gabriela always had a passion for pregnancy and postpartum care and conducted her undergraduate honors thesis on the effects of exercise and breastfeeding on pregnancy-related complications. 

While obtaining her Doctorate, Gabriela attended further training in the management of sacroiliac dysfunction and pelvic floor conditions through Herman and Wallace Level 1. Gabriela went on to treat a wide range of pelvic floor and musculoskeletal conditions as a Physical Therapist in Alaska and New Mexico. Rooting from her own experience as a patient dealing with knee, shoulder and spine injuries, Gabriela maintains a strong love and knowledge for treating all orthopedic conditions from head to toe. To complement her patient care, Gabriela became certified in musculoskeletal dry needling as well as pelvic floor dry needling, which she has utilized to treat pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and c-section scar adhesions. 

Prior to joining the Spear team, Gabriela lived in New Zealand where she studied Reformer Pilates and led prenatal group reformer classes. Across her clinical experience, Gabriela has worked closely with patients to address difficult topics, map out their goals and guide them towards independence. She believes strongly in the benefits of both manual therapy and evidence-based exercise intervention to achieve pain-free movement. 

In her free time, Gabriela practices archery, aerial silks, rock climbing, weight training and loves to manifest a snow-filled East Coast winter so that she can go snowboarding. Gabriela spent 85 days hiking New Zealand’s South Island and hopes to continue her backpacking trips in the United States.
