Emily attended the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to that, she attended Old Dominion University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
While on her path to becoming a physical therapist, Emily developed a passion for exercise and running and became a personal trainer. Through this experience, she expanded her understanding of fitness and the human body.
Before joining the team at Spear, Emily worked in inpatient settings, where she treated patients with both neurological and orthopedic injuries, including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injuries, hip fractures, and major multi-trauma. She provided individualized care throughout their recovery, helping optimize functional abilities, educating them about their injuries and recovery process, and supporting their return to independent living. Her approach to patient care prioritizes each patient’s functional goals, emphasizes individualized treatment, and incorporates evidence-based practices to help them return to the activities they enjoy.
Emily moved to NYC in 2025 and enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling, running, and exploring the city.
