Physical Therapist - PT

Devanshi Joshi, PT

Upper West Side - W 82nd St
Devanshi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth in Karad, India, where she built a strong foundation in human movement, rehabilitation, and patient-centered care. Eager to expand her clinical knowledge, she went on to complete a Master of Science in Exercise Science at Long Island University, Brooklyn, graduating in 2025. Her graduate studies focused on exercise physiology, biomechanics, and evidence-based interventions—principles that continue to shape her approach to helping patients recover and regain function.
During her academic journey, Devanshi developed a particular interest in cancer rehabilitation, leading her to author two research articles on neural mobilization techniques for breast cancer survivors with lymphedema. These studies examined outcomes related to pain relief, mobility, and sensorimotor function, deepening her appreciation for the resilience of individuals navigating complex recoveries.
Clinically, Devanshi brings one year of hands-on experience from a McKenzie-based physical therapy clinic in India, where she treated a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including low back pain, neck pain, and shoulder injuries such as rotator cuff dysfunction and impingement syndromes. She also managed sports-related injuries, which sparked a growing passion for sports rehabilitation—helping active individuals restore strength, prevent re-injury, and return to peak performance.
In addition to musculoskeletal care, she has experience working with neurological populations, including patients with Bell’s palsy, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and peripheral neuropathy. These experiences strengthened her belief in the power of individualized treatment and the critical role of patient education, especially in geriatric and neurologically impaired populations.
More recently, Devanshi has developed a strong interest in vestibular rehabilitation and balance-focused therapy, finding it both rewarding and complementary to her existing clinical skill set.
Outside of her professional life, Devanshi values balance and wellbeing. She enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, and reading—especially Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, a book that has influenced her perspective on empathy and human connection. She also finds joy in dancing Garba and Dandiya, traditional Indian folk dances that celebrate rhythm, energy, and culture. These passions reflect the philosophy she brings to her work: a thoughtful blend of science and compassion, movement and meaning.
