Saretta Vaz, PT, MS

Upper East Side - E 84th St

Saretta earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Khyatshe College of Physiotherapy in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. During her academic journey, she gained experience working with diverse cases, including geriatric patients, patients recovering from strokes and COPD, as well as children with cerebral palsy. Her internship at Shalby Hospitals provided in-depth exposure to pre- and post-operative rehabilitation for knee and hip replacements, as well as spinal surgeries. After completing her internship, she worked alongside an orthopedic surgeon in a clinical setting, where she treated sports injuries and various orthopedic conditions. Additionally, she pursued a certification in pre- and post-natal care, deepening her knowledge of women’s health rehabilitation. Throughout her career, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, her core philosophy has been to approach every patient with empathy, helping them achieve the best possible function and quality of life.

After moving to the United States, she pursued a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Dallas Baptist University in Texas. This program allowed me to expand her understanding of human biomechanics, joint function, and advanced rehabilitation techniques. her professional interests include orthopedic cases, particularly total knee replacements (TKR), Ankle sprains and ACL rehabilitation, as well as treating geriatric patients and individuals with frozen shoulder and rotator cuff injuries. She is also passionate about working with patients recovering from strokes and Parkinson’s disease, as she loves seeing their progress and helping them regain independence. Additionally, she has a growing interest in women’s health and rehabilitation, particularly in pre- and post-natal care and menopause, as these areas are often overlooked in healthcare.

Beyond her career in physical therapy, she enjoys creative pursuits such as baking, drawing, and resin art, which allow me to express myself and bring joy to others. Overall, she enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, understanding their unique challenges, and learning from each case. Every rehabilitation journey is an opportunity for growth, both for her patients and for me as a therapist. She believes recovery is not just about regaining movement—it’s about rediscovering independence and confidence. With each patient she treats, she strives to find new ways to optimize function and improve their quality of life!
