Kyle Luna, PT, DPT

Park Slope - Union St

Kyle earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the San Francisco State University (SFSU)/University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) dual program and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

At SFSU/UCSF, Kyle was able to integrate physical therapy practice in collaborative, interdisciplinary settings alongside other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes. He received extensive training in treating patients with chronic pain as well as neurological conditions (Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, post-stroke/traumatic brain injury, and vestibular disorders). He also conducted research on the effects and efficacy of blood flow restriction training (BFR) for use in the orthopedic population. He was also involved in creating partnerships with community groups to improve the health of local communities through educational workshops and volunteering.

In his free time he enjoys exploring the city, exercising, travelling, playing basketball, trying new food places, attending concerts/shows, and spending time with friends/family. He loves trying new fitness modalities in order to better understand and connect with patients and their unique hobbies/interests. He is passionate about meeting patients where they are at and providing a physical therapy experience that is goal-oriented and individualized to each patient. He values fostering positive relationships and creating an environment where patients feel safe, cared for, and listened to. Lastly, he enjoys staying up-to-date on the most current literature to ensure the NYC community is receiving optimal care based on the latest research.
