Physical Therapist - PT, DPT, CSCS

Lexi Burski-Edwards, PT, DPT, CSCS

Union Square - 14th St

Lexi received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from New York University, where she was involved in research using motion capture and EEG technology to explore the relationship between movement and brain activity. While working towards her doctorate, Lexi successfully became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, as well as a Certified Rock Steady Boxing Clinician for Parkinson’s Disease. Prior to NYU, Lexi attended Southern Illinois University — Edwardsville (SIUe), where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

Lexi has had clinical experiences in New York, Illinois, and Missouri. She has experiences in hospital-based/inpatient acute rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation, school based pediatrics, outpatient pediatrics, and performing arts. Her last clinical affiliation was at Spear’s Center for the Performing Arts, where she was able to build her skills in treating dancers and performers — even seeing backstage coverage on Broadway. Lexi believes in utilizing evidence based interventions, and an individualized approach, to help each patient achieve their goals, and get back to doing what they’re passionate about.

Lexi was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been living in New York since 2021. She is a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and in her free time enjoys exploring the city, exercising, seeing broadway shows, and spending time with friends and family. In addition, Lexi works to promote the Physical Therapy profession, by empowering the next generation of PTs as they apply and work their way through PT school.
