Megan is a graduate from Ithaca College with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies, and Minor in Outdoor Pursuits. During her time at Ithaca College, Megan especially enjoyed her neurological and musculoskeletal classes. She also enjoyed learning about the psycho-social aspects of care and the mind-body connection, both of which she enjoys implementing into her treatment approach. Megan also took on a leadership role with the Ithaca College Outing Club leading students on outdoor excursions such as hikes, rock climbing, and camping. She valued this chance to educate others about the outdoors and providing opportunities for students to experience outdoor recreation.
Megan was fortunate to have a variety of clinical experiences including outpatient orthopedics, neurological and developmental disabilities, and inpatient acute care cardiac rehabilitation. She has enjoyed working with each population and gained extensive knowledge with each clinical experience. In the outpatient setting, she particularly enjoyed working with people with low back, hip, and knee pain to get them back to the activities they love. She learned from her neurological experience how to bring an element of creativity and fun into her treatment approach, something that she looks forward to implementing in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Megan’s experience gives her a wide breadth of knowledge that helps her treat many different conditions with an individualized lens. Megan enjoys getting to know her patients, working with them towards their goals, and celebrating their successes.
In her free time, you may find Megan running outside, doing yoga in the park, skiing in the winter, enjoying live music, or eating at a local restaurant. She always loves suggestions to expand her horizons with food, music, or books, movies and shows. She is easy to talk to and get in touch with and looks forward to meeting you in the clinic!
